New Orleans native Eroniffa Ibrahim created this piece for Nora Navra Library, but due to the damage of Hurricane Katrina it had been housed since its creation on the 7th floor of City Hall. A patron who recognized the piece contacted Art New Orleans and began the process of having the painting brought home to the branch library, where it is now permanently installed.
It is a beautiful and moving painting that depicts many 7th ward locales as well as the craftsmen from the neighborhood that were essential in making New Orleans look like New Orleans.
