  • Artist: Roseline Young

Fiber artist and educator Roseline Young completed her BA in Art/Painting from Dominican College in Racine, Wisconsin, and her MA in Weaving Sculpture from Tulane University in New Orleans. She is a retired art teacher with 30 years’ experience working in New Orleans schools. She has taught adult art classes at the University of New Orleans, the Alliance for the Arts, and the Cape Coral Art Studio in Cape Coral, Florida, and has developed noteworthy public outreach programs in art, the environment, weaving and spinning. She holds Master Artist Status from the Louisiana Folklife Program.

Young has had installations at New Orleans City Hall, New Orleans International Airport, Office of Economic Development, Gallier Hall, St. Bernard Public Library, and the Smithsonian Institution. She owns and operates a working studio, Rose Line Weaving Studio, creating one-of-a kind wall hangings, wearable art, as well as spinning and weaving instruction.
