
Paulette Tokar Whiteman was educated in Europe, Canada, Asia, and the United States. She began her formal art education in California, continued in Germany, and received a B.A. and an M.F.A. from the University of New Orleans. She has experience instructing fine arts on multiple levels of primary and secondary schools, colleges, and the New Orleans Museum of Art. Her repertoire includes teaching Fine Art at the University of New Orleans Metro College, Art Education at Loyola University, and various Gifted/Talented programs throughout Louisiana and Colorado. She creates the curriculum for the St. Charles Parish Gifted/Talented Art Program, and is a state evaluator for Talented in The Visual Arts.
Whiteman's paintings are exhibited internationally, and are used in productions by the motion picture and television industry. She is the recipient of the Louisiana Division Of The Arts Artist Fellowship Grant 1999-2000.
