Growing up in Mumbai, India, Nami traveled throughout Europe, Asia and the U.S. exposing her to a kaleidoscope of styles and fashions. While attending Tulane University in New Orleans, she visited NYC every summer where she was enthralled by the progressive fashion. During this time, she spent a summer studying in Paris, France and Madrid, Spain; the fashion in both places served as inspirations for her. However, she was most inspired by her frequent visits to NYC where she shopped extensively.

Being surrounded by luxurious fabrics and master craftsmen in India combined with her lifelong search for fashion forward designs gave birth to NamiSutra. Her designs are for women to have fun, feel confident, sexy and empowered.

NamiSutra is a cutting edge, high fashion clothing and accessories brand based in New Orleans. NamiSutra designs have been spotted on movie stars on the red carpet, Miss Universe Contestants, India’s Next Top Model Winner, the Runway at NOFW9, in fashion editorials and NYFW 2019 events.
