
Marta Rodriguez Maleck is an international artist, organizer, and filmmaker based in New Orleans. Rodriguez Maleck’s work explores self-care, trauma, womanhood, queerness, generational differences, family, and Hispanic identity. This past year, their work was published in ‘New American Paintings’ and ‘HISS magazine’ both online and in printed form, and most recently shown at Ground Floor Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Rodriguez Maleck has exhibited at the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center. They were a resident at FUTURA, the Center for Contemporary Art in Prague, Czech Republic, the Ace Hotel (New Orleans) the Vermont Studio Center (Johnson, VT), Popps Packing (Detroit, MI), and at ACRE (Steuben, WI). In 2019, Rodriguez Maleck had a residency at Paper Machine in New Orleans and opened her third solo show at Baby Blue Gallery in Chicago.
