New Orleans native Kara Crowley embraces the uniqueness of black culture through portraiture. She discovers unique ways to interpret her vision, such as the recent “Make your Mark” series, highlighting through the use of handprints how locals will leave their mark on the world.

Crowley's time with YAYA Inc. (Young Aspirations - Young Artist) and at Xavier University molded her into the artist she is today. She continues looking for ways to nurture her own artistic practice throughout the New Orleans art community.
