Jacques Soulas was born in France and moved to New Orleans where he now lives. In 1980 he began attending the John Mc Crady Art School and later joined the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts.

In 1986 he opened Cafe Degas which he still co-owns. Soulas has had numerous group and solo exhibitions in Jackson, Mississippi, and New Orleans. Many of Soulas’ works can be found in corporate and private collections throughout America.
