Artist: Francisco Magallan
Francisco Magallan was born and raised in México City. He recieved a Bachelor´s degree in Visual Arts at the National School of Visual Arts and a Master's Degree in Visual Arts with a specialty in Print Making. Previously, he worked as a University Art professor in Drawing, Illustration and Color Theory and owned a Print Making Art Studio for a while in México. He moved to New Orleans in 2013 and has participated in several group shows and three solo shows, the last one at the Mexican Cultural Institute ¨Laberintos Mentales¨ in 2021. As a painter, he works with oils, acrylics, and watercolors on Canvas or Cotton Paper. As a printmaker, he works with linocuts, woodcuts, and lithographs.
