Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Huseyin Emre Karaoğlu studied at Budapest University of Technology and Economics and Marmara University before moving to New Orleans in 2021. Karaoğlu's paintings include themes of social realism as well as comprehensive, boldly colorful portraits of modern-day life. He records the present condition of life in the city by extracting and selecting powerful images that speak to him and the human condition.
