Now from the United Kingdom a rod that is truly a part of history and is a museum quality antique rod. The rod was made in circa 1875 making it around 150 years old and is made of Greenheart wood from Ghana South Africa, This tree grows to 90 feet tall and has dense hard wood perfect for fly rods of the day. Special lathes were developed to turn this extremely hard wood. The use predates the later use of bamboo for fly rod construction.

The rod is 10 foot 1 inch in a 3 piece construction. The rod has brass hardware and has drop ring guides that is typical of the period. A professional break repair was performed on two places on the mid section. This is a rod that you will be proud to display in your collection.
