Tony Griffin is one of North Carolina's most accomplished artists with a strong reputation as both a plein-air landscape painter and portrait artist of note. Griffin's early classical training at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art forms the foundation of all of his creations. The strong personal connection he feels for the North Carolina mountain landscape is evidenced in his many portrayals of the New River.
