Autumn colors highlight the trees along the Eno River in the Piedmont of North Carolina. Outcrops of volcanic (tuff) breccia rocks extend into the river, create the rapids, and also accommodate a staircase, part of the Buckquarter Creek Trail in the Eno River State Park.
