"Dervish" is an installation by Arizona artist Lyle London. This 12' high sculpture was originally created in 3D Cad as a complex vortex or whirlwind and then fabricated from 105 curvilinear waterjet 1/4" steel plates. The negative space resulting from 1" spaces between the plates creates a constantly changing mass when viewing the piece from different angles. The piece was installed outside the Clay Pathfinder Building on the LCCC campus through the Wyoming Arts Council's Art in Public Building program.
