"Community Spirit" was commissioned by the Wyoming Tribune Eagle on September 23, 1997, the 100th Anniversary of the original Cheyenne Frontier Days. It depicts the newspaper's founder Colonel E.A. Slack, who supported the community and the event through his volunteerism . . and was one of the original organizers of CFD.
