Artist: Delmar Pettigrew
Award-winning sculptor, Delmar Pettigrew's works can be found in collections as far away as Kuwait, and as close as municipalities in Wyoming. His work is represented by galleries in: Cheyenne in Wyoming; Beaver Creek, Denver, San Luis, and Loveland in Colorado; Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Harbor Springs, Michigan. Pettigrew studied with numerous nationally known wildlife artists such as, Walter Matia, Chapel, and Floyd Tennyson Dewitt. Painting workshops include, Peggy Kroll Roberts, Kim English, Michelle Torrez, Dan Mieduch, Dan Robinson, and Ken Backhaus. He credited his wife, acclaimed sculptor Martha Pettigrew, for her insightful critiques. Two-lifesize-wildlife bronzes were commissioned by The Museum of the Great Plains, a museum associated with the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Pettigrew died in 2017.
