He was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Marie A. and Clyde E. Weaver on September 19, 1939. He graduated from Cheyenne High School and Colorado State University. He married Deanna McGee in 1960. They shared 55 years together.
After a hitch in the Navy, Chuck worked in the Missile Industry for a few years, then completed an apprenticeship to become a journeyman pipe fitter before deciding that his real ambition was in the field of art. He enrolled at Colorado State University where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, concentrating in Sculpture and Metalsmithing/Jewelry Design. His work can be found in public and private collections across the U.S.
