Five friends, united through their commitment to textiles, have joined with Textile Center to honor the legacy of fiber art in Minnesota. This collection of work reflects their innovations that keep fiber art relevant in contemporary art.

Morgan Clifford has exhibited her weavings nationally and internationally. She is professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.

Mary Giles, known for her coiled sculptural forms, was named 2013 Master of the Medium in Fiber/Baskets by the James Renwick Alliance.

Carolyn Halliday employs the vocabulary of textiles in her sculptural works. She recently exhibited in the 8th Biennial of Contemporary Textile Art, Madrid, Spain.

Tim Harding combines an original process of piecing and cutting to create the illusion of three-dimensional space within the textile plane.

Tracy Krumm uses textile construction techniques to comment on labor and cultural production. She is Director for Artistic Advancement at Textile Center.

Textile Center’s mission is to honor textile traditions, promote excellence and innovation, and inspire widespread participation in fiber art.
