"Headwaters: Where the Current Begins" is a partnership between the St. Paul Art Collective and ROHO Collective, bringing together a remarkable group of Twin Cities artists for a major exhibition at Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport. The show takes its name from a simple idea: that the cultural waters of the American Midwest begin here, in the studios, neighborhoods, and creative communities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

Through original work spanning painting, illustration, mixed media, pyrography, sculpture, and digital art, the artists in this exhibition trace the streams of memory, identity, place, and care that flow out from this region. Together, their voices form a single river — a portrait of the Twin Cities as the cultural and artistic source of the Midwest.

For the millions of travelers who pass through MSP each year, Headwaters offers a first hello and a lasting impression: that this is a place where art is rooted, ambitious, and alive.
