The subconscious mind is incredible in the process of painting and allowing creativity and healing to flow. It has been a tremendous few years, blended with heart break and health issues, a surge in creativity and expansion, healing and love. It took a friend to point out all the subtle symbols of these things; my asymmetrical hair, right eye vision issues, concussion, thyroid scar, and still the bursting inner sunshine that remains with me regardless of what I am feeling. This piece has started quite a few conversations with friends, all of whom have immediately assumed it to be a self portrait. This is #1 in the Self Portrait Series
