As my body of work grows, there are many times I find one of my pieces is not getting along well with the rest of the work I am creating. It sits, for months, contentious and uninspired. And then, one day, I pick it up and decide to let go of the creation and paint over it again. I joke that some people are getting 2, 3, and sometimes 4 paintings in one. This playful piece is a perfect example of this process, as well as my love of color and strokes.
