Kingdom lead by powerful warrior women who flourished from around the 7th century B.C.E. through 314 C.E. They ruled the Kingdom of Kush which is now known as Sudan. These women have been referred to as the One-Eyed Queens and were the Kandake Queens of Kush. They are believed to have been part of Roman Britain for about 450 years also, starting in the 4th century. They were tall, broad, curvaceous and fierce women with notorious skills using a bow and arrow said to be able to pierce a person’s iris from a distance. The Kushites, or Nubian Queens, are believed to have originated from Northern Africa and migrated to ancient Egypt. They were able to stave off both the Greeks and Romans for over 1000 years before becoming part of Roman Britain. Powerful, smart, beautiful, prowess, diplomatic, economically vibrant, and unmatched for a millennial. A truly inspiring people and culture, especially for it’s time.
