Excerpt from artist’s Impact Statement: "[The] Holodomor was just another part of silencing a group of people into submission although communism was made to be a socially equal society. And what I find most inspiring, is that instead of staying quiet and pleasing the dictatorial regime he spoke out knowing that the Soviets may do something to him or kill him."
