Excerpt from artist’s Impact Statement: "My art piece is a semi-realistic social commentary questioning the constitutionality of the internment camps, representing the blatant violation of the Japanese-American citizens' rights and the most obvious general emotions they must have felt. I attempted to present my message in the most impactful way by setting the piece up almost as a political cartoon."
