Excerpt from artist’s Impact Statement: "Higgins is seen over the war scene overlooking the Marines and his creation, the Higgins Boat, in action. Below the scene, we see one of Higgins's first sketches of his idea for what a better boat could look like. It was my goal to convey Higgins' creative and ingenious ideas, and how they manifested into the successes that he, or others, would eventually receive, and the positive effects they would have on the world."
