Excerpt from artist’s Impact Statement: "Since Corky was first inspired by the lack of representation of Asian workers for the Transcontinental Railroad, I chose to include an anniversary celebration photo featuring a reenactment of the connection of the two railway lines. However, viewers may notice that the men featured were white…Lee noticed this as well, and this inspired him to begin his lifelong journey of photographing such injustices against minorities."
