Beautiful bronze with a deep brown patina cast by H. Noack foundry, Berlin. Artist monogram on base. This was Kolbe's most popular sculpture with 66 castings produced during his lifetime and 14 posthumously. Bronzes from this era are extremely rare as so many were melted down.
