Full title is "Eunuch of the Imperial Court, Peking 1949". With his uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time, Henri Cartier-Bresson was in China when the civil war of 1945-1949 reached it's climax. This delightful image is of of a eunuch from the imperial court of the last dynasty, taken in the shadow of the Forbidden City.
