Stunning photograph in excellent condition by the legendary Hong Kong master. Perhaps his most famous image. He later described having his cousin stand beside a wall by Queen's College in Causeway Bay. He said that the shadow represents the fact that "her youth will fade away" since "everyone has the same destiny".
Image 20 x 15 cm on 8"x10" double weight paper, with photographer name and signature printed verso. Negative 1954, printed later, 100% archivally matted to 11"x14" and in a black wooden frame.
