J Elaine Senack x
Born in St. Jean, Quebec, Canada, J. Elaine Senack grew up in a suburb of Montreal, an area with few trees and little nature. At the age of eight, Senack’s family moved to Connecticut, settling in a home bordering many acres of forest. As she explored the woodlands and learned about the creatures that inhabited it, it was there that her love of nature bloomed.
While in her twenties, Senack moved to Montana and was inspired by the majestic mountains, and herds of wildlife in nearby Yellowstone National Park. She returned to Connecticut, and eventually started a family. After years of balancing work and family obligations, she made the decision to focus on her art full-time.
J. Elaine Senack is a Member of the International Guild of Realism, an Elected Member of the American Artists Professional League, a member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, and the Lyme Art Association.
Senack has received awards in international and regional competitions and exhibits. Two of J. Elaine Senack’s paintings are published in “AcrylicWorks6 - The Best of Acrylic Painting”, a book featuring some of the world’s best acrylic paintings.
Senack has exhibited at the Salmagundi Club in New York City, NY, the Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz, CA, the Denver Botanic Gardens in Denver, CO, Mills Pond Gallery in St. James, NY, The Lyme Art Association Gallery in Old Lyme, CT, the U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington, D.C. the Eisele Gallery of Fine Art in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Williams Fine Arts Gallery in Boulder, CO, and the Sugarman-Peterson Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, among other locations.
