Royal Purple

Purple was a colour once reserved for royalty. This iris, drenched in diamond dewdrops, wears its purple robes with pride and is the second in my Garden Royalty series. This piece won "Best Watercolour in Show" at the Annapolis Exhibition.

Mounted on a gallery panel, the finish on this original watercolour is a translucent compound that acts as a protective matte topcoat. It seals and provides UV protection without compromising the original colours and eliminates the glare of glass between you and your painting.
