Bumble Bum

I did a second version of my bumblebee painting for a local art show. This version is mounted on a gallery panel but not set in a floating frame.
Bees are an important part of our food chain. Their plight these days concerns me - both for them and for us.
I've always considered them friendly creatures and this one, going about her day is no exception.

The finish on this original watercolour is a translucent compound of wax and resin that acts as a final protective matte topcoat. It seals and provides UV protection eliminating the need for glass.
