This is a California black phoebe swooping for insects, with a line of Bonaparte's gulls swooping for fish.
Three blocks, four printing steps: black bird, yellow gradation and a separate black block for the gulls, with a final bokashi gradatation printing step in blue for the phoebe head. The natural paper deckle is left on the bottom of print.
