Roman ceramics and votive body parts, women throwing dice
April Vollmer uses the computer to organize and analyze her multitude of digital photographs. This group of prints is based on photographs of Roman antiquities at the British Museum combined with photographs of human bones. It is a meditation on time, chance, and the body based on the evidence of artifacts: votive body parts, protective deities, pelvic bones. Some things change, and some do not.
