Reflections on place and spiritual energy through moonlight. Especially in areas of trauma, like the Great Swamp.
The moon over Charlestown’s Great Swamp feels cold. At any moment, it felt like something could clamber up onto my balcony and stare down at me through the slider window. Unlike my usual encounters with the moon, where it would feel warm and full of spiritual curiosity, this moon was blank. Unfeeling. Unnatural.
This is my attempt at capturing those energies, the hostilities, that I believe the land still holds.
