My textural abstract work comes from an accumulation of years of exploring texture and color relationships. Each piece is comprised of layers of oil paint, using no medium, and left to dry prior to the application of the next layer. These paintings are reflective of the many layers we all possess within the totality of being human. Each event, each tragedy, each joy leaves a mark. This has been a theme throughout all of my various styles of artistic expression.
The artwork is a vibrant abstract painting characterized by a rich tapestry of colors. Predominantly featuring hues of blues and oranges, it exhibits a stunning interplay of complementary colors. The texture is dynamic and layered, giving the painting depth and movement. The use of splatters and drips suggests a spontaneous and energetic approach, adding to the overall chaotic harmony of the piece. The bright patches of yellows interspersed within the composition bring a warm contrast to the cooler blues, creating a balanced visual effect.
This piece showcases a commendable mastery of color theory and texture. The way the blues and oranges interact evokes a sense of energy and liveliness, while the seemingly random patterns suggest freedom and unrestrained expression. The artist has effectively utilized contrast to guide the viewer's eye across the canvas, inviting them to explore different sections and discover new details with each glance.
