This painting is part of a series inspired by the quiet, meandering flow of water through British woodlands and forest during autumn.

Wandering through these forests was a joyful and uplifting experience, filled with the crisp scent of damp leaves, the soft rustling of branches, and the gentle murmur of water weaving its way through the landscape. Streams carve winding paths through the undergrowth, their currents carrying fallen leaves downstream. Pools and ponds reflect the shifting canopy above, while slow-moving rivers gather the woodland’s colours, blending earth, foliage, and sky.
