Columba (Sold 2023)

A major work at 60 x 48”, Columba finds a new home within the dynamic environment of an office complex in Louisiana, where it continues to speak to the heart of its viewers. With a central white field framed by bold black and yellow bands, the piece evokes a sense of musicality and movement. The poured bright green paint, along with the collage elements of textured paint pieces, mirror the rhythmic flow of a band performing across the top and dancers below.

Inspired by the dove of Noah’s Ark, Columba represents the search for peace and renewal amidst tumultuous waters. It symbolizes hope—the olive branch as a sign of fidelity, devotion, and marriage.
