Ready

This dog was the character in a series of children's books that I wrote and illustrated. This painting was for the cover for Book 4, which I never got to complete and publish due to time constraints. I did finish and publish the other three books in the 'Frisby' series about a gorgeous Border Collie and the relationship with it's owner (in the book this was the child who was reading - the book written from the dog's point of view). It was such fun writing and illustrating these books, and the start of my artistic journey. Frisby was actually the first Border Collie that my husband and I had. She was an incredible animal - so intelligent and had a beautiful nature and everyone that knew her absolutely adored her. We were lucky enough to have her until old age took her. We have always had the same breed since then - I love their intelligence and energy and just cannot live without one of these as my constant companion.
