This is one of my first oil paintings from 2022, when my heart first opened to a new way of being. The vibrant orange flowers burst against a turquoise background, with gentle golden streaks dancing in the background - each petal painted with the raw energy of someone discovering their truth for the first time.
I called it 'Awakening' because that's exactly how it felt - like I had been sleeping before and suddenly my eyes opened to see the world in full color. The three flowers are fully bloomed, their dark centers like eyes finally open, their petals reaching outward with all the passion and energy that had been waiting to emerge.
This painting marks the beginning of my transformational journey, the moment I found what truly brings my soul to life: creativity. Like these blooms opening to the light, I too was opening to a new path. Through each brushstroke, I discovered a journey of creativity, joy, and compassion - one that I hope ripples out through my art to touch others' hearts and infuse this same awakening energy into the world.
