Homage to PINK, the singer. This piece started out with bold pink hues because I was in a bold pink mood. I eventually accepted that the color needed to be toned down or neutralized (I sometimes "edit" myself to be less pink and bold). After the original application of pink paint dried, I added some warmer white, cream and yellowish hues (and even some green, orange and periwinkle) to tone it down a bit. The painting is more successful now with the neutralized colors. The title, not just because the overall color is pink, but because, like the singer, a bold, fearless, innovative woman, this painting captures that spirit. I gladly sold it to a friend who is a bold, fearless, innovative woman.
