All Warrior series paintings are inspired by my yoga practice. Each represents a specific asana as part of my "practice" to become a vainglorious, humble, fearless, peaceful, exalted etc. human being. I chose to begin each piece with an illustration of something and then shifted to painting over with ultramarine, one of my go-to jewel toned colors of the sea. It is dark and mysterious but punctuated with lighter colors of sun and sky.
