This piece is created using stainless steel drinking straws, 3D printed joints, and cyanotype on fabric. I was investigating the pattern of my own fingerprint, and I used that image to create a series of cyanotypes that are sewn onto the steel frame. I was exploring platonic solids, and thinking about how much my fingerprint represents the swirls in the milky way. This piece is seen on a pedestal, but it can also hang and spin.
