This piece was part of a series of "glitches", investigating marks made by machines, marks made by the human hand, and marks made by natural processes. I closed my eyes and made a scribble with my hand. I ran this through my computer and created this "glitch". I laser cut it in steel, and mounted it so that it floats off the wall, creating a "shadow drawing". I sprayed a vinegar solution onto the steel to create the rust pattern.
