Eruption evokes a giant organic flower!

Eruption is wet-felted from Merino and Corriedale wool. Fibers were laid out in a flat circle to make this piece and felted balls added. Once the piece had been well felted and shaped into a bowl cut outs were created and the "fronds" manipulated until they are stiff and able to "stand up."
