- From What the Magpies Remember, archival print—18x12
This limited edition print is based on my original oil painting exploring memory and mythology through symbolic imagery. I placed a contemplative figure surrounded by magpies—birds I've always found fascinating for their traditional associations with memory and secrets in folklore. The warm, earthy palette is punctuated by bold geometric forms in orange and blue, creating visual interruptions that mirror how memories surface unexpectedly in our consciousness.
In creating the original oil painting, I employed Renaissance-inspired glazing techniques and focused on careful attention to detail. This high-quality archival reproduction faithfully captures the luminous skin tones and distinctive markings of each magpie from my original work.
