This piece represents my emergence within my indigenous self, the flourish of the ancestral knowledge secure in chikashsha heritage. It is influenced by both the linear motifs of Mississippian and Southeastern (Chickasaw, Choctaw, Cherokee) Tribal styles as well as the deconstructed, simplistic styles of modern western art.
