BE PREPARED

In "Be Prepared", the viewer is presented with the main character of the series, the lone astronaut, in the middle of the vast ocean. The astronaut, dressed in a red space suit, holds onto a bright pink inflatable flamingo, which appears to be his only means of transportation in the flooded world. The astronaut stares directly at the viewer with a sense of determination and readiness, as if to say "I am prepared for whatever comes my way". The painting sets the stage for the series, introducing the character and the theme of adaptability in the face of adversity.
