I had so many pieces and colors that, when laid out, reminded me of African mud cloth. There's a sense of pattern while still being free-flowing. Sold as a pair, the one on the left is Listen and the one on the right is Heal. It evokes a primitive yet sophisticated feeling. Listening can heal relationships. I lived in Zaire for more than two years, so the alternative names for this pair is in Swahili: "Kusikiliza na Kuponya." Notice how the materials evolve from the more primitive at the bottom to more sophisticated at the top. Custom frames by metal artist Victor Quiros.
