83rd Division class A uniform that belonged to Lloyd Charles Schneider. Lloyd first joined the Army in August 1934 and served with the 28th Infantry Regiment at Fort Ontario until August 1937, when he was honorably discharged. Afterwards, he served with the Minnesota State Guard. He was drafted in August 1943 and was assigned to the 42nd Division. He was sent overseas with an infantry replacement battalion and from there was assigned to the 329th Infantry Regiment of the 83rd Infantry Division. He served with the regiment until January 1945, when he was taken off the line of duty and sent home due to combat fatigue.
