Painted leather photo album belonging to Laura Marsh Weidman (Sprong Waldron) of Albany, New York. She is the assumed photographer of most of the images (approximately 100). Her father, Aaron Weidman, was a traveling pocket watch salesman. Laura likely traveled with him to capture the various subjects across the United States. Frequent depictions include famous landmarks, the Erie Canal and wharf-related activities, and assorted races, classes, and occupations of people.
